I really like the idea that Dixing doesn't have time, I think there's a lot to explore there. I might write a related meta.
One thing that makes me nervous about writing Guardian fic is how the canon revolves around the Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan pairing, and because of that everyone in the fandom has thought about both these characters a lot and has highly developed takes on them. It makes me nervous to come in with my own. This point in canon felt like an easy-ish place to start because Shen Wei can't do anything (because he is tied up) and he also doesn't say very much so all I had to figure out was an internal monologue. Still nervous though.
I think this fic would've been better if it were three times as long with a lot more detailed description, but that would've taken more than I have in me now, so this is what got written. I definitely have more to say about this pairing so I hope I'll be able to write more fic for them.
