Demon's Bond: Senkimaru route
Sep. 17th, 2019 09:00 amSemkimaru is Shuten-doji.
SENKIMARU IS SHUTEN-DOJI.
I really should have figured this out a long time ago, they look sort of alike and I should've been more genre savvy. Also apparently in the Japanese version they have the same voice actor. Otomate, thank you for translating this game, it's not that I'm not grateful, but I keep feeling like you only gave us half of it and I'd really like the rest.
So:
1. Chitose was actually RIGHT that Senkimaru was working with the bandit who poisoned the Princess. And I felt so bad about choosing to be suspicious of Senkimaru at the time!
2. Yachiyo did not actually kill Senkimaru in the Shin route. Which makes sense, there was something off about that.
3. I didn't pay a lot of attention to Shuten-doji during the earlier routes, so I might have to go back and look at them again.
4. The reason I didn't pay a lot of attention to Shuten-doji is that he looked like a one-note villain. I should have known better. This game does not do one-note villains and has committed to showing the civil wars - both human and demon - from all perspectives. I am impressed.
So, we get the stories of all the antagonists - Shuten-doji here, the Yachiyo and Shu routes in the sequel. Maybe one day they will be translated! The Yachiyo route in particular looks very Relevant To My Interests, but both look good.

Well I'll certainly be paying more attention to him from now on in Chitose's path!
