Rec me a fic of yours! (and current state of fannish me)

Current state of fannish me: I'm at that awkward place with Guardian where I am so overinvested in it that I can't bring myself to write in any other fandom, but I still have a bunch more episodes to go before I can write anything Guardian related. Fourteen more episodes, and then I expect I will be wrecked and need a good cry.

Meanwhile, I have some very excellent writers reading my journal and I'd love more chances to squee about your work. If you'd like, I'd be very happy for you to rec one piece of yours that you'd like me to read. I promise I will only comment positively.

This counts for people who have been reading my journal for a while, too, since I think everyone here has written things that I haven't read.

Hmm! Most of my fic is for canons I don't think you're familiar with, and would probably be annoyingly confusing without that context.

But I think you might like this. It's a major AU so I explain things more, though it may still be fairly confusing.

...hmm, if longfic is your thing, then For No Cradle Lasts Forever is canon divergence from episode c. 34 with extra aliens. It's also 75k long. (For shorter options, Tell Me, Mechanist is 5k of science fiction AU, but I suspect you've already gone through most of my output, based on how hard it was to find something you hadn't kudosed/commented on already. *g*)

I just started on the longfic...I've been pretty dubious about the Hallows for a while so I like what you did in turning them into slaving and mind-control devices. It might take me a few days but I will definitely read this.

The Hallows are ripe for exploration! *stuffs over 9000 unwritten fanfic ideas back into box where they belong* And, uh, I don't think anyone would expect you to read 75k in one sitting! It is a large quantity of words. Take your time.

Good luck making progress on those last 14 episodes. I remember slowing down quite a lot around then too, partly because it was getting more intense, and partly because I didn't want it to be over. *hugs*
