...that was fast.
I was giving Nobunaga the benefit of the doubt that he mostly just needed to defeat the monks for strategic reasons. But here he is perfectly clear, he wants to destroy Buddha and the gods so that he will be the only one that the people turn to.
This is not going to go well.
I still greatly dislike that in this route when Mitsuhide rebukes Nobunaga for thinking that Divine rule means taking everything for himself he doesn't just mean Nobunaga's autotheism. Given all his annoying pining over MC, he probably also means how Nobunaga just announces that he's going to marry MC without asking her first, even though he's publicly mistreating her. And yes, MC, you should not marry Nobunaga, he is bad. But no, Mitsuhide, this is not your business, it stopped being your business a long time ago when YOU decided to pimp her to him. Stop it. I love you, but stop it.
And MC's response to Nobunaga's fervent autodeification is to wonder what she can do for him, since she's a mere mortal.
You can do nothing. You should run. Please run. (She won't run.)
